So how did I do it?
How did I get a job with an A-List Hollywood Film Composer, or get paid to sing for 30,000 people, or have my articles published multiple times by websites with millions of viewers? The answer is simple, but not easy. I Asked.
I know what you're thinking. "You just asked? Ha, Easier said than done." And you would be 100% right.
Before I asked, I had a willingness; A willingness to try, a willingness to fail, a willingness to get rejected and ask again. Why? Because I knew it was possible to live my dream, and my love for my creativity was stronger than my fear.
Time and time again, people who come to work with me already have all the things they need to be successful. They are brilliant writers, and singers and creatives but they have not figured out how to push past their fears and have a willingness to take the steps to get to where they want to be. Sound familiar?
I don't know what your passion is, or your creativity or even your goals, but I do know one more thing about you. Do you know what it is? You have more willingness than you think you do. How do I know that? You're still here.
And that little smile you just unconsciously gave to yourself, the little flicker you felt for a split second, is proof that you have more belief in yourself than you realize.
Your creativity is what brought you here, but your willingness is why you're still here.
So for maybe the first time today, or the first time in a while, or the first time ever, applaud yourself, and relax that part of your mind that is overly critical. You're still here, and your curiosity proves you're already willing to maybe try something new.
Though I have quite a few tips, tricks, tools and techniques for you to put yourself out there, the truth is we do more unlearning then learning. I create a space for you to unlearn the negative self talk, the false limiting beliefs you have about why you can't, and a space where you can challenge and push yourself and see just what you are REALLY capable of.
Lean into the curiosity of still being here and embrace the willingness you already have to take your creativity to the next level.
